Abu Hurairah (r.a.) said: The Messenger of Allah (saws) said, "Verily, Allah
likes three things for you and disapproves three things. He likes that you
should worship Him Alone, not to associate anything with Him (in worship)
and to hold fast to the Rope of Allah and not to be divided among
yourselves; and He disapproves for you irrelevant talk, persistent
questioning and the squandering of the wealth.''
Related by Muslim.

*Commentary: *

Allah Subhanah likes three things for mankind:

a. To worship Him Alone as He Alone deserves worship.

b. To not associate anything with Allah Subhanah in worship.

c. To hold fast to the Rope of Allah and not be divided.

Allah Subhanah absolutely disapproves of three things for mankind:

a. Irrelevant, casual, or vain talk or deeds which neither help oneself nor
mankind.

b. Persistent questioning or hair-splitting in religion.

c. Extravagance or the squandering of wealth.
